...that's why they have to wear those suits. *ba-dum-chi!*

I watched the first episode of Rescue Me last night and I absolutely loved it. Before I get into the details I need to say that this show is rated MA (Mature) for language, adult situations, adult uh…relations? HECK, YOU KNOW WHAT MA STANDS FOR! The simple fact that Denis Leary is the main character SHOULD be a big hint, but if you scar your brain from watching it, I warned you.

I had a few expectations going into it but it wasn’t anything like I imagined. I’m not going to spoil it but it really sticks out from other shows on TV right now. The flow of it is really original and almost every main character is dynamic from the very beginning.

Comedic life update in 300 words or less

Complete Title: 'Comedic life update to hide the lack of deviations and to fulfill the lonely hours...in 300 words or less'
Good News:
Light the fireworks and break open the Champ-paggen because we’re going from 24kbps interwebs to 1.3mbps interscapes very soon. (That’s about 55x faster for those of you counting) I’m about to burst into tears just thinking about it. Dial-up is the devil.

Bad News:
I looked in the mirror earlier today. Da-yum, that girl needs to go on the ‘Nothing but popsicles and applesauce’ diet for about a year. Even the fact that I was wearing my red “VIVA LA STEWART!” T-shirt with Jon’s face on it didn’t make me look better.

Current Obsessions:
#1 - Law and Order: Criminal Intent
(1.) I am fascinated with Detective Goren (Vincent D'Onofrio) and he is my hero.
(2.) I am guilty of wanting to make out with Detective Logan (Chris Noth).
(3.) I am in love with Detective Nichols (Jeff Goldblum). (Which I also, incidentally, would make out with.)

Oh, uh, they’re great at solving cases, too. I guess that’s what the shows are about…

#2 – French Kiss
I saw this fantastic movie last night and was completely swept into it. It’s about this woman, Kate, (Meg Ryan) who is chasing after her jerk-of-a-man ex-fiancé (I don’t care what his name is) but instead, falls in love with this French thief named Luc Teyssier (Kevin Kline). I don’t usually go for romances (even comic romances) but I love this movie.
Watch it. It’s really funny.

I’m oddly happy that a bad experience hasn’t done away with my Francophilia. Well, I mean, after you hear a French accent from Kevin Kline you can’t really stay angry.

I really like the flexibility of the way LiveJournal is set up. I'll be using it for my fictions, mostly. I've come a long way in my writings (Not the ones here on my DA. Thoase are Gawd awful.) and I'd like to continue developing in it. Deviant Art is still at the top of my list for art, but everyone needs a blog.

...or so they tell me.

I'd like to say a very heartfelt thank you to everyone that commented on my last entry. The grief has leveled off a bit now and I'm able to see a day when it won't hurt so much. All of your comments were greatly appreciated and very thoughtful.

My grandfather died this morning.

Outside the window, the birds were singing and the sun was shining.

That doesn't seem fair.

The world doesn't deserve to turn, and time should be damned to stillness.

It steals what I love.
